Don’t think this will go to recruiting the portal… probably upgrading the Dodd and for some reason the basketball facilities

After reading many “ the sky is falling” comments on several posts recently, I just think we need to take a couple of steps back from the edge.
We have something at our Alma Mater , that we have had only rarely in our history. And I am very optimistic about the future of sports right now. Why, you may ask ?
Simply put, we have the ideal alignment of a “ pro sport “ President - probably the most “pro” we have ever had. Next, our previous AD was replaced by one at least equal to, if not better. And finally, we have a HC in football that gets “TECH” and loves “ TECH “!
In these turbulent times in sports, we have the perfect people in place to guide our teams through this . Relax 😎 !
Just my 3 ( inflation ) cents.

If Tech continues to get serious about college football, we have the money to make some serious noise! I love this!

On related notes whenever folks take potshots at Tech fans and alumni for not giving enough...

Athletics view of Full Steam Ahead initiative

Contrary to popular baloney and unfounded slanderous potshots, Tech is not poor. Not even close.

Tech fans (love em or hate em) are typically smart with their money. They will not put good money after bad (waffle house loser) but will strongly invest in a solid winning plan. That is why I still feel like there is a tremendous untapped potential for additional funding. They want to see strong plans and details of how the money will be used and the expected results of using that money vs downside of not spending it.

I think Tech athletics fund raising really needs to step up and be the best at communications in the industry with their fans/donors. There is a sweet spot missing where I think you could get 20,000-30,000 fans to donate between $5K and $10K based on a clear plan and roadmap. On top of the big donations.

As an example: Put out a 5-10 point document fans can use so they can help convince their significant other this is a smart thing to do

Look at all the friction points to funding and reduce each one

I know he was awful but we as a community have got to stop letting him ruining Waffle House for us. We’ve had enough time to heal since our breakup, and it’s time we started asking for our things back.
