Charlie Ward heart break.
Was '69 the year someone threw a fish that hit Ara Parshegian? Temp at kickoff (night game) was 14F? Lots of lubed-up students. I ain't saing nuttin' about me.Played or dressed out for the 1969, 1970, and 1971 games...... Notre Dame in1969, the 2nd Fish Bowl, had a huge crowd, BTW.
Saw 72, 73, 86, 09,10,11,16,17,18, 19, 21,22,23, & 25 games. Gaps were usually me off doing Navy things, working on the wrong coast or continent, or family health issues.
Yep. Plus other assorted items at the ND bench. I recollect that the West Stand folks and administration were not happy. Was '69 the year someone threw a fish that hit Ara Parshegian? Temp at kickoff (night game) was 14F? Lots of lubed-up students. I ain't saing nuttin' about me.
I was at all games:
1967: 60,024 (NOTRE DAME)
1968: 60,011 (TENNESSEE)
1969: 60,106 (GEORGIA)
1970: 59,624 (TENNESSEE)
1971: 60,204 (AUBURN)
decided to poke some fun today!
please note that this is just some lighthearted stereotyping, although part of me is serious about the south end and the upper north.
If I ever get season tickets on my own later in life I’m easily sitting in the UN.My seats are essentially where the "T" in "SIT" is in the UN. I don't disagree.

I enjoyed that seat! Although we lost the game....My seats are essentially where the "T" in "SIT" is in the UN. I don't disagree.
I wish I could have seen that game in person, but we got screwed out of our block tickets by the overwhelming popularity of that game. So our whole block had to go sit on Tech Green and watch the broadcast as it was projected onto a screen. For that and some other reasons, that game was probably my most annoying gameday experience as a GT fan.The ND game in 2006 was the largest I remember in person. Incredible gameday atmosphere with 10 hours of tailgating.

I wasn’t judging the west stands folks just poking fun. Most of the ppl who sit there are GT’s most loyal supporters.I sit in the west and I do it because it’s the best seats and I’m less likely to be surrounded by opposing fans.
