Allen doesn’t have the numbers of some more seasoned players, I think due to talent spread of WR room last year, but yea looks? I’m not worried about him in the slightest

Allen was one of our better playmakers towards the end of last season. I'm excited about his potential for this season.

Hate to break it go ya, but the WR screens are here to stay. Most teams will run about 5+ a game nowadays. They serve so many functions and if they get at least 3 yards they are considered a success. They get ball to perimeter fast, almost as an extension of run game. They stretch defense and make them aware and have to account for it mentally every play. Causes defenders to have to use stamina sprinting across field to help contain/ tackle and test opponents DBs block shedding and tackling skills. It’s also easy for offense to execute plus helps diagnose defensive scheme/ tendencies. So even when they don’t work well it’s still helped the offense in many ways.
I’m not against WR screens but we never ran Screens with the RB under CBF.

As if I didn't already have a man crush on Tae Harris:
I thought that was very interesting. Get's back to what CBK was talking about with starting at point A every year to make sure the new guys understand the program/system from Day 1. I take it that Tae is one of those guys mentioned that did not see the field until November that should have seen the field in September - but the development process for the new guys was lacking.

I'll be honest, I'm shocked he's with us today. I felt like he should have been playing since Day 1. I fully expected for him to transfer out to an SEC program after being misused this past year and kept checking the portal news to see his name in it. He's going to be a difference-maker this year, and it wouldn't surprise me if he makes All-ACC.

Think the got plenty of run time ( 9 /20 temple he got 3 tackle). Even though he got time , the scheme of read read oh heck there they go let's chase them was wildling inappropriate for his talents level. He will contend for all acc under new dc.

ALLAN was poorly used. I wonder if key thought we needed to play some of the ol guys like petty?

Tae is going to be a very feared safety if our scheme is right for him to succeed 🤞

I was one of his biggest proponents on here but he was a TRUE Fr and had to learn the speed of the game.He had more than a couple of "struggles" in his playing time last yr. Gotta learn.

I mean Fridgin often had 2 RBs on the field most plays. Sometimes one would be out at a slot poistion and Twirl motion into the I back... then run option and godsey scores a TD on UGa.
Need to find another Big Ed Wilder and run some I formation- the way that defenses are built for speed sideline to sideline might make them more susceptible to blunt force

Tae played well when he got the opportunity. One play stuck out to me near the end of the year where he came up on an intermediate route and crushed the receiver. He made mistakes, as all young DBs do, but he showed some flashes of being a big time player too.

Always say this, but I remember Morgan Burnette’s freshman year against Boston College. Matt Ryan torched him several times - Ryan was so good at using body language to lure DBs into bad spots. Anyway, as a freshman he bit on those things but he learned and turned into one of the best DB’s to play at Tech. I think Harris can be that good, and I think the new aggressive scheme is going to allow him to highlight his abilities.

Ryan torched everybody that night. Morgan had a great FR season but did have his FR moments.
