I sorta figure... Key/Faulkner/Weinke all been knowing for a few seasons now this was gonna come. Weinke been co-oc for several seasons now if there was a line of succession plan and he wants the OC spot you roll with it. I am sure he learned alot from Faulkner amd also his own years supposedly he has been well like by the QBs and offensive staff. His familiar face also eases any concerns among players

Go get Garrett Riley. He didn't pan out at Clemson because, my understanding is, Dabo wanted him to run the 'Clemson' offense rather than the Garrett Riley offense.

I could get on board with this. He had very good success at SMU and TCU.

WKU hires guys with good FCS offenses, it isn’t the same system every year

This all depends on what Weinke wants. If he wants the OC job, he has earned it. He also has the best chance of having a lot of transfers

IIRC, Weinke has said he's not interested in being OC - maybe he enjoys developing QBs?

If we were willing to make buster the highest paid OC, that means we can have our pick of a pretty good pool. We can also be strategic because we can pick an OC that could bring some good players with him

We don't need an option oriented coach.

Philo is a legit QB and we will need to rely less on his legs than we did with King.

He can stay as an analyst.
