Someone remind me again about the time and media options.
7:30p opening tip and can be caught on ACCNX (ESPN app) - YTTV subscribers will need to find alternative means because the Disney/YouTubeTV contract situation has still not been ironed out. I'd recommend ESPN Unlimited, which is $30 a month (and I think YTTV is sending out a credit for this month shortly due to the ESPN outage).

So excited that hoops season is upon us and there is no more speculation about rotations, performance, etc.

Looking forward to seeing the 2025-26 Men's Basketball squad get it going tonight. Here are a few of the things that I'll be locked-in on.

- PG rotation: Lamar Washington probably won't play 30 mins, who gets the other mins? Mustaf or one of the freshmen?
- GodSylla: Word is that he is a true one and done type player. I'm looking forward to seeing how he and Baye play together in the paint.
- Freshmen: Aside from Mo, who else is going to make an impact out of the freshman class? I'm excited to see who steps up.
- Defense: How hard do we play on D? Can we keep people out of the lane? Are we improved there?
- Rotation: Who gets the start Reeves or Craft? Who is the sixth man? Which of the freshmen check in first?
- Offensive Philosophy: How much different does it look than last year? More post play? Any plays to get Craft looks?

Reeves starts if you believe CDS. Paraphrasing, “He’s my main man I’m relying on, been in the program a long time, knows what I want, can help teach the other players.”

Also paraphrasing CDS. “We are going to be a very different offense this year. Don’t expect it to look like last year. We have a true back to the goal center and are going to be very athletic underneath. Our offense will build off of that.”

Intriguing, isn’t it.

Defense and pressure is still the same top priority with the plan to rotate 9-10 players and wear the other team down.

Like others I want to see what our defensive intensity looks like and even more importantly can we get out and run off of turnovers/rebounds.

On offense I just want to see if we have a coherent plan to use 2 bigs in the half court. And can we make the shots that come out of inside/out play.

Really excited for this year, although I am keeping expectations in check, would love to be a true bubble team. Need to avoid unexpected non-conf losses.

Luckily tonight should be a good warmup, MD Eastern is a bottom 5 team in all of college hoops according to Kenpom, #361 overall. This is an abysmal team, won only 2 games in the worst conference in basketball. I hope we come out fast and keep our foot on the gas, lets see what horses we have in the stable.

My primary hope is to take control early so that all 14 guys can get a run, mix up players on floor, and even vs. a seemingly weak opponent, we get a sense current confident & comfortable players, and those that have true potential, as well as those that may take some time and patience.
One of the best examples was Jalon Moore - his freshman year, the athleticism was evident, streaks of fluid spins and finishes, but also bouts of ugly shooting. He eventually put up numbers, but at a different school and system. The point is, in just a few minutes of initial game time, you can spot skill sets that project well. Hope ALL 14 get a chance for some rhythm minutes.
2🐝26 Title run starts today!

Excited for the season, was trying to do a roster/team preview on my YT channel before this first game, but looks like I won't have time. Maybe I'll do a video reviewing the game and how everyone looked after tonight. Interested to see if Sylla is starting.

Sylla will start or I’ve been misled 😊.

Quick PSA: if you have season tickets, the all-in-1 tickets are showing as Friday's game against Bryant. You can fix it by calling the ticket office, transferring the tickets to another account, or probably by heading down to McCamish a little earlier than usual and dropping by the ticket window.

Anybody know anything about UMD-Eastern Shore? Who should we be locking down tonight?

There isn't much there but they do have a couple of freshmen that were prolific scorers in HS. Not sure whether or not they will play. Devin Thomas, a 6'0 guard and Levi Beckwith a 6'7 wing. Beckwith is from the Raleigh area, his old man coached John Wall in high school for what its worth.

Their top returning scorer is Chris Flippin, a 6'8 forward/center that averaged 10 and 5 a game last season. They are made up of a lot of Division II guys and low major transfers. This is a team that went 6-25 last season and lost their starting back court that combined for 32 points per game.

I just saw this! Did you call? What did they do?
