Both CDS and CBK have adopted the “blessing in disguise” posture after their last games. And, in both cases, some fans are fearing that our teams are fatally flawed while others are saying don’t rely on one photo taken in time.

Conversation about Tech sports programs have certainly gotten more interesting the last couple of years, and this year especially.

well I'm way more confident in football as Key has garnered a reputation for bouncing back following losses. GT has only lost two in a row twice in his tenure.

**** all the noise, I am super excited to be making the trip down to McCamish tonight.

Will Baye and Washington be back in the lineup, and I am looking forward to watching the freshmen play. Time for a career high from Akai (see what I did there).

Can't recall who posted it, but I am also watching to see if ECJ gets some of Kelley's minutes...I sure hope so, I am a big Chatfield Jr. fan (called it over the summer)!

I don't think this team is fatally flawed by any stretch. We have talent. Pretty much every player was a 4 star recruit (except Ndongo  )

I just want to see us do the things that CDS talked about in the preseason - make the bigs the focus of our offense, get shots for his best shooter Craft, play pressure D and get out and run.

I don't need Princeton/Morrison level offensive structure but I don't want to finish watching the game thinking any accomplishment of the above was a random act.

These early season (undisclosed) outages for Washington and Baye stink! Bryant has length and several foreign born players. Likely a tough game without Washington and really tough without Ndongo.

Bryant was a tournament team last year knocked out in the first round by #2 seed Michigan state. Looks like only 1 guy from that team is still on the roster and they have a new coach so this is a completely different team than last year. Hopefully we can gel a little better than we did the first game and get some shots to fall

I’m not sure about my future sports viewing.

YouTube is doing its thing, my Fubo free subscription expired, and I’m not crazy about spending more money for a bunch of channels I don’t want to try to find a game I may or not be able to watch anyway.

I’m torn between disappointment over not being able to watch Tech when Tech is finally interesting again and just being ready to be free of the tyranny that is the contemporary TV landscape.

I’m on a role ranting right now, so, one more thing. Are any of you old enough to remember when technology made our lives easier and less complicated? Now, in almost every area where the “technology” improves, I find myself spending far more time, not less time, accomplishing what used to be simple.

Friday mood swing.

If Baye and Washington are out again, I would take the under and the +15.5 for Bryant. I hope we look better and maybe we will after getting the first game jitters out, but I would think this might be another tight one.

That is a good way of putting it.

It used to be that the eyeballs were the goal, so getting the games out there and to make it as easy as possible for consumers to access the broadcasts was the point.

But we have crossed an economic threshold where data mining is more lucrative than the eyeballs. So now, the point of all these "a la carte" streaming services is to get subscriptions where the terms of service agreements mandate subscribers give up any monetary rights or control over their data. The fact of the matter is that it is a BAAAAAAD deal for consumers. Those "terms of service agreements" might be the biggest rip-off since Native American land rights negotiations.

I am minimizing all on-line subscriptions to a bear minimum and if screen time, and TV in particular, are sacrificed to restore my privacy then I know that I will be all the better for it, even by virtue of not watching the glass teat.

There was a really sweet 3-4yr period when cord cutting was catching on that was pretty fantastic. But all good things end.

I think Lamar is out but not sure about Baye. I think the freshmen will look better and we'll shoot better as well. For these reasons, the good guys will cover.

I'm beyond excited.Been fascinating what our "big" line ups look like if Baye plays.Big night out of Mustaf and Wacie...the latter might go crazy.Things will look much better tonight. The most intriguing player is Marshall IMO...skilled bigs is a thing again. His play making from the high post looked good...PnR etc...with targets inside like Baye and Godsylla we cold be on to something!
