The problem with the "star system" is who is actually evaluating these young men? I will take a 3-star Miami kid (Liberty City) out of Miami Northwestern, Miami Central, and so on any day over any kid in the country because I know he has played against topnotch competition since Pop Warner. College coaches have gotten lazy since this star system scam was started. Can you evaluate, look at tape (full games) and see if a kid can play. Then trust what you see and offer the kid instead of waiting to see who else likes him.
