Jackson McVey has signed and has been added to the roster at ramblinwreck.com.

If his weight of 240 lbs is correct, he provides some needed bulk in the middle. Hopefully he knows how to use it.

After All-star at Greater Atlanta Christian, played for first year Hugh Durham at Georgia as his first signed recruit his freshman year, then went to Alabama Christian JC for a year and then signed by Dwane at Tech. Then Bobby inherited him his senior year, kicked him off the team and then had to ask him to return, being in need for a center. Lee played an average of 31 minutes in every game. Glad Coach Cross has several Lee Goza types. He needs to have a Lee Goza award annually.

He was thrown off the team for continually undercutting his own teammates who were going for rebounds in practice.

We needed him desperately to be competitive during Cremins first year. He was a fighter.

Well, I thought it was a good question. Cole was zero made FTs and eight FT attempts. I was not an engineer, but that FT% is easy enough for an econ guy to compute. So, I am hoping McVey can better that.

Diop is actually a strong free throw shooter. Good on the offensive glass and rim-running. He’s by far the best option offensively, but he has virtually no post game.

I agree. Glad they all found landing spots.
Fleming, Mustaf, Ndongo and Sylla stay up at the P5 level and the others all drop to various mid-to-low majors.
I agree that feels about right for them.

The positive side of the Portal in this era is guys like Remagen/Chatfield/Stores all have a chance to move back up to High Major basketball if they do well at the lower level...if that's what they want to do.

Let's be honest about the Portal era, everyone is auditioning for something. Either to move up a level, get more NIL, retaining their spot for next season, go pro, etc.

When there was talk/uncertainty about the NCAA adopting a 5-year eligibility rule, some players who were clearly out of eligibility (including Chas Kelley III and Lamar Washington, and others like UNC's Seth Trimble and Miami's Ernest Udeh Jr) took the proactive move of entering the portal so that they could exercise a fifth year if it came available and if their existing school no longer had roster space for them.

Separate from that, a couple of them also have a possible medical waiver issue that could grant them more eligibility. In the ACC, Miami brought in Brent Bland from St. Peter's, who played 5 games in 2024-25. NC State player Alyn Breed is transferring to UNLV with waiver possibilities for at least one of his past 3 injury-filled seasons.

I think you/we are missing the "conversation" that said their ship and other beni's were not going to be there if they tried to stay. Not sure exactly how that works but I don't understand how kids go down to non P4 schools or get caught without a ship at all in this process without really getting kicked out the door.

Note: I think there is a good argument that Cole was not a P5 player. Also, the polls might favor Craft as a P5er, but it would not be a slam dunk.
