GT Transfer Portal Activity 2.0 – Portal Season: The Awakening

With the transfer portal officially opening today, I figured it made sense to spin up a NEW dedicated thread for all Georgia Tech portal activity—ins, outs, rumors, and anything picking up traction.

For everyone’s sanity, let’s try to keep this focused strictly on portal-related discussion. The last one got off the rails and went WAY down a rabbit hole. I started feeling like I was reading a textbook.

I'm turning the page on the doom and gloom and looking at this from a half-full perspective. We have a blank slate to work from; I personally feel like it will be an active and exciting cycle for Tech.

I'm assuming the obvious being that those we lose were losers that contributed greatly to the team's crap bucket performance.

No lies told but we are gonna give our best effort. In terms of the net, we should come out ahead in most cases.

The only problem is that price tags keep going up, up, up. Some of the figures I've seen mentioned are just stupid.

As I said before, I do not think that we get many splashes, but if we could get a bunch of dudes like Big Papa Pump's son, then we will be fine!

Not to be a D but, we lost the team that won two ACC games last season. Whatever we put together via the portal should be capable of improving upon that.

It would have been nice to keep AF, but I’ll get over it.

I notice Nait on the portal...again. Maybe he and Ndongo can match up again somewhere. Along with Souare....again and Darrion Sutten...again. Also saw NBA sons Dennis Scott III and Justin Pippen, Scotty's son portalling. Three names I would get, if for name only, are Always Wright, Tennessee Rainwater, and Money Williams. Money knows the portal game. Always Wright cannot be wrong, and Tennessee may want to be a Volunteer. The portal is making me crazy (er).
