I received a code yesterday for a pre-sale. This does not seem to be related to being a season ticket holder (already bought seats weeks ago through that opportunity). Maybe due to purchasing other MBS events? Regardless, I was glad to see the COFH title was paired with (not replaced by) the QQQ Atlanta Gridiron Classic title. "You're in! Here's your exclusive presale code to witness Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate at the Invesco QQQ Atlanta Gridiron Classic."

But I thought it would be interesting to see what was taken during the season ticket holder pre-sale, so I logged in to look. Let the speculation begin as to what was bought by Tech season ticket holders, and what is reserved for other reasons (and which fans will end up in those seats).

Just horrible. I get the big check and that's fine, but I didn't buy tickets. Too expensive for me and I hate moving that game to MBS and away from BDS/Grant Field. Looks like a lot of availability on the Tech side, but mostly outside of the 20s whereas the UGa side is mostly available inside the 20s.

I get that we need the money but this game should never have been moved off campus. Compounding it was the way it done, with little to no advance input from fans, season ticket holders, etc.

Probably why theyre cutting normal seating and adding more suites and exclusive areas to Bobby Dodd in the remodel

You guys aren't really understanding that this got us out of the contract with a big payout otherwise we'd have lost clemson this year and our big marquee ACC matchup the next year as well for around 2 million each.
Plus it will be better for recruits to come in to this game at the benz and not bobby dodd seeing nearly half the stadium red. Until we can fix that problem in the world of social media optics. This is a good play.

I’m just praying this is the end of the Benz experiment.
The only way we go back is if there is a plan for a full Bobby Dodd renovation and we have no other choice but to play a full season at the Benz. Outside of that or a pre/post season game, we should never play in the Benz again.

I would not be opposed to playing in the benz every other year as an opener with an SEC/Big10 team not UGA as part of a season opening challenge. Especially if it defactor gives us anothe rhome game. Hell if im the Benz i am tryign to set this up where i alternate ebtween GT and UGA every eyar doing this.

The only alternate location I could get behind is the moon. Very few other programs would have the means to get there so it’d be an easy win - forfeit no show. Working smarter, not harder.

I believe we still have 2026 in the contract. My guess is that the 2026 Colorado game will be a kickoff game at MBS. Just don't know if it will be on Saturday or the Labor Day night game.

Yeah but we don't' have to give up an ACC home game.

No, this game this year fulfills the contract.
According to this page, it is through 2026:
Georgia Tech and AMBSE also announced that its original five-year series for the Yellow Jackets to host one game annually at Mercedes-Benz Stadium from 2020-24 has been extended to six years. The Jackets will now host one game per season at MBS each year from 2021 through 2026.
This is where I think a lot of people think the contract was modified to end this year.

In partnering with AMB Sports and Entertainment (AMBSE) to move Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate to Mercedes-Benz Stadium for 2025, we agreed to changes in the contract that calls for us to play one game annually at Mercedes-Benz Stadium through 2026. As part of the new agreement, AMBSE will provide us with a $10 million guarantee just to play the 2025 Georgia Tech-Georgia game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, a transformative revenue lift for Tech Athletics. In addition to the $10 million guarantee, the reworked agreement with AMBSE will provide Tech season ticket members with seating priority opportunities that they haven’t had for our previous games at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

But reading that, I don't see anything that actually says it will end in 2025. It discusses changes to the contract that pay $10 million for that single game, and to allow season ticket holders to get early access to tickets. Later he says that COFH will be limited to 2025 in MBS. Nowhere in that page does it specifically say that the contract will end in 2025. Many people have inferred that it will end using vague readings of what that "Letter from the desk of J Batt" actually said.

I’ve heard Tennessee will be the one at MBS next year. Colorado will be at Bobby Dodd.

We are still going to play there we are a very easy get for kickoff specials and we do bring a lot of people in MBS likes us. It will just be actual kick off game instead of one of our home games. If Cabrera can someone figure out how to just take the facilities debt form the AA (argue that we use all the facilities for non AA stuff maybe, I know there are classes in the DODD at times as well as the swimming etc is open to all students even though it was built by the AA with grants form the Olympic commisison in 96. We'd be in a REALLY good place.
