Well there’s a curveball. Neither Cooper or Angelakos. Still think we see Dimitri tomorrow.
I don't. I think he is set to start against Auburn on Tuesday night. Not sure why you would want to mess with that given the results thusfar. Yeah I know conference games mean more but a road win against a ranked team on a weekday would be pretty sweet too.

I’m not saying I agree with bringing him in relief it’s just typically what Taylor has done. Chicoli last year once he had a few good outings was moved to Saturday/Sunday and Blakley this year had a pair of good outings throughout the week then was moved to Saturday last week and the Sunday starter this week.

Fabulous win, timely hitting for us, DPs by us massive and great pitching. Total baseball. Clempy held us to 216 hitting, but their errors and walks followed by our HRs were sweet.

Today is the day to show no doubt about how good we are and sweep. Are we killers?

Poll question on Underwood is moot, (like it isn't there).

I couldn't watch last night or today (in mountains), what is background on pulling Loy? To me, great hook to pull him with only a 4-2 lead and two on (BB then single) and one out and a killer bullpen. The box score doesn't indicate the change was made mid-count but that's what @The Doddfather said.

Questionable call to pull Loy with 2 strikes on purify in the 5th, but it did look like purify was timing him up. Mason proved James right that inning. Great outing for him, loved to see it

I didn't see hardnose, baseball culture taught from Ramsey under Danny and I understand why. But I am loving seeing it now. Barring key injuries, I now feel it in my bones that we are going to have a super season with the talent we have in our players, and our coaches.

Ramsey’s energy level is just….high. What I really love is that he has expectations every inning - whether it’s tied or we’re up by 10. And his decision making and in-game coaching seem to be very timely and effective.

You're 100% correct. He seems to be a lot more hands on especially during at bats and pitching. I other words he is coaching all the time. Love this giuy he is a keeper.

Extremely excited about the future with Coach Ramsey! As stated previously, his energy and intensity can be felt through the TV.
May have been mentioned in chat or elsewhere, but I really did like the Clemson players paying tribute to veterans in the stands...
I also agree with the safety of the "warning track." Their own CF fell down late in the game tracking one down. I know it's not the only reason but it was a reason it was removed in Minute Maid Park...

Awesome series win. Was really pumped for schmidt, he looked a little rough in his first 2 ABs and when he came up with bases loaded I was worried we weren’t going to get anything out of it and man what a way to get your first HR of the season.

Patel looked like old Patel, something different for him coming out of the pen rather than starting. Got a couple of huge outs there.

If we can make it to Omaha this year, I will be there!

Ramsey played the pitching staff like a fiddle last night!! Pulling Loy in mid batter and then coming out personally to give Gaudette a good chewing (mid count I believe) and then bringing on Ballard to close it out. Can’t expect every move to go your way, but he was perfect last night!

Any intel on who Clempy is starting?

Drew Titsworth was one of their weekend guys last year but has been injured some this year. Bell has been their Sunday guy all year up until today when they gave him a TBD. So I’d expect one of those two.

Well, one can argue that his handling of the bullpen last night was superb and much better than the GT Swarm Collective…...

As far as pulling Loy is concerned, i think Ramsey saw what I THOUGHT I saw as a fan, which is that he was tiring and his breaking ball was no longer controlling the strike zone, We must remember that he started only one game all last year for Tennessee and came here because he wanted a chance to start. He hasn’t gone longer than 86 pitches yet. Unless I am mistken, his two hit batters last night were the first of the year for him. He had only had two 3 ball counts in the first 4 innings, and went to 3 balls on each of the first two hitters in the 5th before surrendering a hard hit single when he came into the zone against Dalley. He was at 75 pitches and maybe they were higher stress pitches than his prior outings, but whatever, Ramsey looked to me like he went with his gut that Loy was tiring and he didn't want to take a chance.

I like Loy, I think he's got a good 6 innings in him per game but has not yet shown it. I'm not sure he'll dominate in that role, but he'll be way more than solid enough for this team's needs. Someone who's inclined might want to dig into it but Loy's 0-2 pitch performance yesterday seemed abysmal littered with HRs, HBPs, etc. When I saw he was 0-2, I thought here we go again but Ramsey yanked him.

On another note, who'd have thought Burress, Hernandez and Zuckerman would be a combined 3-26 and we'd have scored 19 runs in 2 games?

I hope Burdell has a solid outing today and the bats come alive. Go Jackets!

As a novice college baseball fan, can some of you explain Ramsey's uniform choice?

As I said in chat, the man is clearly wearing one of those helmets they serve ice cream in at truist park. How's that allowed?

We ditched Russell and lost all the good options.
