Beats me. This is above my pay grade. Georgia still has great players and depth that most teams would kill for. That said, both Tennessee and Alabama went up and down the field on them. Maybe it was Buster's formula but it could be the Dogs are simply not as talented as they were a few years ago. I don't know but I do know we missed a golden opportunity last fall.

Might be something to that. This is kind of a young mutt team. They’ll probably slap Kentucky this weekend but undefeated Mississippi and GT are ahead, along with 1 loss Texas and MissyState. Even Auburn and Florida could have a pulse on some particular day. I can see another loss or two for the buttsniffers.

Interesting notion….
I do think Buster found some things that got Georgie uncomfortable and Bama used some similar wrinkles a couple weeks later … however, as a defense, you know every offense is trying to put you in conflict and take away what you’re most comfortable doing. If you can’t adjust, you’re just not very well coached (or guys aren’t doing what they’re coached).
We are lot more in tune with it offensively when some aspect of the O is shut down (mostly because it’s easier to see… my assumption), but it’s the same on both sides of the ball.
Buster even said in the presser the other day that they really liked the front wake showed a few times in the third and we kept trying to show formation to get wake back in that front and they didn’t / wouldn’t do it again. May have said it with regard to the stuffed 4th attempt.
That’s a very telling comment- you have both coaches recognizing a weakness and the offense wants to attack it again and the D is going to do what they can to not get caught in it. Great recognition and coaching going on within the timespan of a few football possessions. If Georgie still has a Faulkner hangover from something he exploited 10 months ago, they have a coaching problem

I like to watch last year's game with them up until the last five minutes. Our offense was humming, and this with a QB who couldn't throw deep.

No Faulkner didn't do that. Tech scored 27 in regulation, at least 2 other teams scored more against them last year before the Tech game.

Georgia's defense since the '21-'22 nattys has not been the same, which is logical because their D was otherworldly those years.

Actually i think we broke the scheme a year before that. We put 23 on uga which was more than pretty much anyone else then alabama ran our playbook and beat them in the SEC championship. The were fortunate that Bama was pretty much the only team that could match them personnel wise that year.

If we could stop a running back in 2023 we would’ve had a great shot of breaking the BDS streak.

Think I saw somewhere they have 1 sack on the season so far? I think they’re just not as good this year.

Multiple losses are still on their horizon this season. Even Kentucky will hang with them to a degree. The dwags are 1-8 ATS as a recent home favorite and Kentucky has hung closer to better mutt teams recently.
