We have a bunch of season left, but they had 85 more HRs than us and 39 more doubles. We have a chance to catch them on doubles but belting 85 more HRs would just be mindblowing. This board will be insane if we crank 85 HRs in the last 19 games plus ACCT & Regionals/beyond.

We are averaging 2.56 doubles per game so we should pass their doubles with ease.

We have already well surpassed them for class. That team was the biggest collection of disrespectful clowns I have ever seen on one team and it started with their coach. Also, we shouldn't forget that homer total might have been affected with some questionable equipment. If I'm not mistaken, they got caught using some illegal bats during the season. Something about how the bats are inspected before the game starts by the umpiring crew and they determined that some bats TN used in pregame warmups did not meet the required specifications called for by the NCAA (maybe not the BBCOR required specs?). Despite that, Tennessee was caught using those same bats that got ruled out during that same game. If all that is true there is no telling how many of their homers occurred before that point in the season using those illegal bats.

I forgot about the cheating. That clown coach they have is now screwing up the Giants.

Their stadium iirc is shorter and allows more HRs….in fact it’s about 8-10 ft shorter in almost all its dimensions compared to our place. So that helped them …some. Still, that’s an impressive number of HRs

Our offense is better because it's so versatile. We don't slouch on the long ball, but we don't rely on it either. We can hit lefty, righty, any kind of pitch, and all of our guys battle regardless of the count.

The discipline at the plate has been tremendous this year. We are making the other teams’ pitchers work and throw more pitches.

uGag getting demolished
We should do a pole. What’s more enjoyable watching them getting their hearts ripped out with late game implosions or extreme heroics by the other team OR watching them getting demolished.

I tend to prefer the latter.

2,4,5,8,9 all lose series this weekend with 5 and 9 getting swept (assuming MSU doesn’t pull a miracle in the 9th, currently down 5).

Will be #2 vs #3 next weekend (assuming we don’t hop ucla).

I love to see it - what a fun headliner of back to back high profile series. But baseball polls tend to have more inertia than football - texas may not fall below UNC if the horns can avoid the sweep.

I see your point. Starting to look like they might not even get the game in though. Been delayed for like 4 hours now and I’m pretty sure SEC has a curfew for Sunday games.

Texas took a bus so they have until 10 pm to start the game. Some weird rule that the curfew really only exists for flights..

I remember at some point in the last couple years the coaches almost fought in an SEC game b/c it slowly became clear that the coach of the team that was winning kept making mound visits with the sole intent of dragging the inning out long enough to trigger the curfew rule meaning that would be the final inning played.

I remember this I want to say it was Ole Miss and A&M?
