Nobody have that little uneasy feeling when pundits are saying these things?
I mean it's a regional. ... we lost to Xavier at home a few weeks ago.

I'm very confident. Extremely confident... but there is a little voice over my shoulder that is chirping at me... he's hard to ignore.
Danny Hall isn't the skip anymore. New era in beesball land.

This is the most confident I’ve been in a team going deep in the postseason since the 2023 Braves…and we know how that went. Gonna do my best to just enjoy it a game at a time and avoid all the “this team is built for Omaha” discourse

Yeah we have the best offense for GT baseball ever and one of the best teams in GT baseball history (sorry @Eli ), but baseball still happens. I'm with @FredJacket confident we have the better team. But that doesn't mean we are going to win.

This isn't regional data but shows that that there is little difference in seeding 1 to 4 for the CWS win.

I'm changing my normal routine for following our team, but am hopeful that by publicly acknowledging this will in someway alleviate any negative impacts to the team's performance. We have been in Myrtle Beach since Tuesday and therefore I'll be following along from a lounge chair sitting poolside. Just writing that makes me realize how lazy I am and how much I'm looking past these next two games.

Another opinion

I stopped reading Jackson Caudell's stuff on that SI blog a long time ago. Half the posters on this board know more than he does.

I trust that Ramsey will make a decision based on a lot of research and I'll be ok with it. I think we can win no matter who pitches with this offense.

HOWEVER, I stand by the fact that you never want to lose game one in a double elimination tournament. And as pointed out above, it didn't work out so well for the teams that did it last season.

Yeah, we have the advantage of being close to home and he got more opportunities. I definitely feel better about him staying.

Charlie's lack of opportunity and success worries me.
The kid’s tough. He’ll be back. He doesn’t strike me as a quitter.

That is a shock to me wow. Ramsey must see something in the scout he really likes from Ballard vs UIC. Or something he really like with our offense vs UIC’s ace.
I’m guessing McKee’s blister isn’t fully healed yet which changed the calculus. Throw your 3 tomorrow, 1B (Blakely) Saturday, 1A (McKee) Sunday.

Or McKee is fine and Ramsey really is just pitching backwards, but that would surprise me.
