Agreed, but I can't escape the feeling that a Murray State-esque team will come out of nowhere and shock us. Either UIC or Citadel has that potential, and all we have to do is pull a GT Football against Pitt and fall flat on our face. I know Ramsey and the boys are ready, but this is a funny sport where anything can happen.

Exactly so rather than people talking crap about this, that, and the other, let's put all the "noise" to bed and let the guys do what they do best....win baseball games.
It's come down to our guys against the rest of the field. We can throw as many stat lines out as we want, but the only stat that matters for GT starting Friday is the final tally in the 'R' column on the scoreboard at the end of the game.

We have folks that eat certain foods, read books, mow the lawn, wear the same shirts in the same order like I do. I'll wear the same shirt gameday even if I can't watch, listen to the game or follow on the internet. Everybody needs to do their part. Whatever you've been doing, keep doing it.
If you need to leave the room to get a rally going, sometimes you got to take one for the team! When I can I'll plead for a hook in chat to get our pitcher another few innings or a key out. When I'm not able to do that, I know Ramsey & Taylor and our pitchers know somehow what I'm thinking anyway. It's my simplest explanation for why our pitching has gotten so much better! They seem to love to prove me wrong!! Now I just need to work on a plan for the home plate umps.

Question for you weirdos with your hexes and jinxes... Is all of this to help (or MAKE) Ga Tech succeed... or are you so fearful of the hexy / jinxy powers for say .... the UIC fans ... you are simply counter-balancing those trons and invisible shock waves of mystical magic? ...If you say both.. that is a copout.

I don't presume to speak for ALL weirdos but one so here is my take...as a fan, I can stand back and watch and remain detached and merely hope that the team of my choice wins. I have no more impact on the outcome as a passive observer than I do on some random ping pong game currently being played in Rwanda or Uzbukistan. OR, however, by paying attention to the things I did the last time my team won, I am recreating the EXACT scenario and conditions which ALLOWED my team to win. I am no longer merely a dancer, I have become the dance itself. Some of us are content to passively watch life. Others of us want to shape it. This couldn't be any clearer. I think the modern word for us who roll up our shirtsleeves and do the dirty work behind the scenes (and unappreciated for our contributions I might add) would be "influencer". I would elaborate but I have to go lay out my outfit for the game tomorrow.
