Given there’s only a handful of open starting games (assuming McKee and Blakely are locked into 2/3 every weekend) seeing different arms put up quality appearances in a variety of roles and spots can make or break a regional/super and in particular in Omaha.

Good for Ballard. I think he goes 3. Here's the rest of my order if I'm Taylor:

We didn't see Vicens all weekend. He's only pitched once in a month it seems. Not sure if he comes in 2nd, but he gets an inning or two.

I hope we see Wilcox, seems like a kid once he learns to pitch to college talent will have the right stuff. Time for him to get an inning or two.

Spivey's another that looks like he disappeared. Unless I got the wrong guy you know after 1-2 batters what he has.

Would be nice to see Buursema, but he needs to be healthy.

Some good innings out of McKelvay would be fantastic.

Not pitching related but significant innings for Coupet, Nieses, Lewis, Dee and Brown would be good.

It's important to keep in mind that only one of those two midweek losses was a bad one. The other was to a team that was ranked in the top ten at a time.

Lackey needs to DH in mid-weeks from here on out. Winning is always the top priority (because it is hard to turn your mindset once losing) but the coaches need to balance winning with getting the team rested for the stretch run.

At about 25:50 they talk about Vahn doing a gymnastic move in the locker room. Anyone have any idea what that is about? We are getting a lot of love of course. Winning does that.

Announcers on TV talked about it. He did a back flip. They were like “maybe no more backflips in spikes as we get to the end of the season here!”

Ramsey stated in his post game on Sunday this next weekend we were going to “try some different things out.” I’m wondering if we are going to see some guys sitting to rest them up for the final run or if it has more to do with the pitching..

Everything we are doing, we doing for June. Love it! It seemed our pitching was tired at the end of season. Love what Ramsey and staff are doing!
