Apparently Xavier announced two totally different starters from their rotation last weekend and listed the third as TBA (Saturday's game is TBA v TBA). Their best pitcher, Pietch, isn't listed. I don't see anything about an injury. He threw 5.2 innings last Friday.

Friday - Helsel, Senior LHP, (was listed as their most used RP above - copied from there) Transfer from SIUE, over 3 years and 122.2 IP at SIUE had 8.58 ERA and .310 avg against, 108/73 K/BB
He threw an inning on Tuesday in their midweek: 1.0 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 K, 0 BB, 13 pitches

Saturday - TBA

Sunday - Vasilou, Senior LHP, Transfer from UNLV (and Utah Tech for 2 years prior to that), 1-1 with a 4.94 ERA in 14 appearances last season

When he started looking at the lineup he would be facing... his feelings got hurt.

To those of you who are there or are able to be there much more regularly than I, is Tate doing something to tip his pitches or is he too predictable or what? He’s been hit pretty good to start games lately.

Laid an egg tonight.
Yep, not worried though. The offense didn't show up today and Gaudette finally got hit. The only question I have is why Ramsey didn't go to Patel in the 9th. Loy pitched fine but played with fire in the 8th. I wouldn't have brought him back out for the 9th.

If the ump wasn’t ****in terrible the 3 run HR never happens. Greg Street somehow still has a job despite being the worst umpire in college baseball.

Well, all but 4 of us got the poll wrong immediately. Very bad loss and we can’t allow ourselves to lose this series. Bats need to wake up.

Umps didn’t beat us tonight. Our bats laid an egg for a rare offensive L.

It’s baseball and games like this happen. Need to bounce back this weekend.

The HR was a foul ball and they missed the called strike 3 that would have given us 2 outs. The next guy also struck out. So no the umps didn’t play all 9 innings and have a 4-4 tie with Xavier but they directly contributed to the outcome.
